Functions
- To promote pure science disciplines via the ESC basic science programme of the annual ESC Annual Congress
- To bridge the gap between basic science and clinical practice
- To allow basic scientists to present their speciality at the ESC Congress
- Act as a Europe wide forum for CV research societies and a conduit for positive collaboration
- To share experiences with other ESC Associations and Councils
- To establish links with sister societies
- To improve basic science programme of the annual ESC Congress
